If you don't like watermelon then you cray

Its that time of year… WATERMELON SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!   You may not believe me,  but I eat half to a full watermelon every day. My wife gets sick of it because 1) I eat it like a slurping slob and 2) I always throw it into the trash.  A watermelon rind holds a lot of water so that bag tends to get heavy and tear.  What is she worried about? I take out the trash!!  On hot days like today I can’t help but dream about sitting on my couch gnawing on the crunchy melon.  So why do I like it so much?

  1. Hydration! It’s a great way to get your hydration levels back up!
  2. Fulfilling! Yup a whole watermelon is what I need to feel full.  I tend to be an over eater and by having watermelon it allows me to limit my intake of bad foods and takes the place of those late night temptations.
  3. Nutrients! Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, betaine and LYCOPENE!

Watermelon is the only fruit/vegetable that contains the most Lycopene! It has been used for preventing heart disease, atherosclerosis and cancer.
