US Health Care

Recently the health care bill has been a topic of conversation here at the gym.  This greatly disturbs me! We will be paying into a program even if we don’t need it! I have not had health insurance since 2002.  I have not been to the doctors in any way, shape or form since then.  Why? Because I take care of myself.  I eat nutrient dense foods and I do not take part in careless acts. I look out for my well being and longevity.  Health insurance is great for emergencies (fingers crossed I don’t get shot or hit by a car) but terrible when used as a crutch.  Health insurance is an excuse to eat badly and get subscribed a quick fix medication.  If you do not have health insurance then you have to take care of yourself because if you get sick… your screwed!  So, the only way I agree with the health insurance bill is that if I pay $4,000 a year for 20 years and never once go to the doctors… I want a refund check of $80,000! PAY FOR WHAT YOU USE!

Now I don’t even want to get into the arguement of universal health care…but a client of mine recently broke her ankle.  She flew to Brazil got surgery for free and then came back. Crazy right? Well, this is crazier… Pets in Brazil are treated as good as humans…. no payment for the veterninarians!!! Pets have universal health care too!
